"It was an extremely tough day but I can crown it with this fresh tune, Love Yo," Desire wrote after being released Saturday night. The Ekitone singer left the country last Thursday for Congo Brazaville where she was to perform for some Minister’s there, insider’s say, her performance was the best so far in the year.
On Saturday evening, she came back to of course start from where she had stopped, but the immigration officials told her; You’re going nowhere mom, WHAT! Desire who could not believe wondered. They told her that she had obtained money by false pretense. "All calls for her to record a statement fell on deaf ears, so this was the only opportunity they had of grabbing her," noted a police officer involved with the investigations. The amount involved is shs 24m.
Unfortunately for her, this was part of the money she borrowed for her Black and White Affair last June. It should be recalled that this is the very concert that led her nud* pics to leak after her then lover, Franklin Emuobor, borrowed over shs 100m just to pump in the concert that flopped miserably.
Desire was also required to record a statement on how her Nigerian lover had a Ugandan passport.
Meanwhile, as Desire was being arrested, Franklin was busy telling off Fr. Lokodo through his facebook profile that he should not hold any more press conferences regarding his arrest.
