Updated - This Saturday (Apr 11), NTV staff will be washing cars at shs 50,000/- each to raise money for Rosemary Nankabirwa.
Just days after losing UBC's Bbale Francis to cancer, NTV's Rosemary Nankabirwa is faced with a similar problem. It should be recalled that the day Bbale Francis died, a 'BF Cancer Fund' had just been launched, he required over shs 100m for further treatment in India, he was set to travel in May but that was not possible.
Friends, fans and family have now kicked off with a campaign to raise funds as lots of monies are required for her treatment on a daily basis, her family members are over stretched.
She last tweeted on Nov 5, 2014 and since then, Rosemaey has not used the micro blogging site which she could not skip a day without using.
Staff at NTV have taken the campaign to another level and created a hashtag, #HelpRosemary, on twitter that they are using for all information related to Rosemary.
Frank Walusimbi - "Appeal to all of you my friends. Let's . Let us join her in this battle. Pray for her and contribute some money as well, if you can, to meet the medical bills. Thank you." - News anchor, NTV Akawungeezi and TV Host for the Tuwaye program.
Faridah Nakazibwe and Josephine Karungi are in charge of receiving mobile money contributions as seen on the pic. Alternatively. money can be banked on Rebecca Kibirige's account in Diamond Trust Bank on account number 37329942994.
"There are new bills to be paid everyday. The doctors are yet to give an estimate of what will be needed but in the meantime, we want to cater for the bills that are pouring in. Give whatever you can. #HelpRosemary so far I have 653,000 shillings. Thank you so much for your contributions today.." Josephine Karungi noted on her wall.
