Updated: The body of Harriet Kisakye will be at National Threatre tomorrow (Sunday 26, April) and burial will be on Monday at Bunamwaya church.
Harriet Kisakye famous for songs like Kinigeria and Kandahar has died on Saturday after battling with different ailments. On Thursday, Kisakye was transferred from Mulago Hospital where she had been for two weeks to Kampala International Hospital, but she did not make it.
The local musician had a wound on her forearm but her condition has been deteriorating since then prompting the former FDC party leader, Kizza Besigye, to transfer her to IHK in Kisugu after being briefed that her internal organs were not functioning well.
Harriet told some artists who came to check on her while still at Mulago Hospital that that was not her home and she will be going home very soon. She is also behind the song; 'Omusajja agwana mucuupa'...!
Harriet is the second musician to die in just under three months. In March this year, to be exact, Mar 16, Chameleone's brother AK47 died.
