In a letter dated July 23, 2015 the RCM noted that the last flight will depart London Heathrow for Entebbe on 02 October and leave Entebbe on October 3, 2015.
This was the shortest route for Ugandans travelling to UK as it was a non stop flight taking you 8h 45m. It was also ideal for the elderly and unaccompanied minors.
"As a company we will continue to evaluate our route network and we therefore trust that it will be possible for us to work together again in future," Edward Frost concluded.
Customers who had booked after the above dates are advised to contact their travel agents to work out alternative plans.
Kenya Airways has a relatively shorter route of 11h 20m with a 1h 30m stop in Nairobi (NBO). Emirates will take 13h with a 1h stop in Dubai (DXB).
