President Obama who did not come with his wife and daughters was received by his half-sister, Auma Obama, and the Kenyan President, Uhuru Kenyatta plus other top officials.
At his hotel, President Obama dined with his Granny, Mama Sarah who raised his now deceased father as a child plus other relatives. Kenyans lined parts of the route to the hotel to cheer as the motorcade made it's way.
President Obama will tomorrow address the 6th Annual Global Entreprenuership summit that takes place from July 24-26 in Nairobi and later proceed to Ethiopia. Locals are positive the Obama visit will yield many benefits. Security is tight in Kenya with many roads closed.
Mr. Obama is the first sitting US President to visit Kenya and also the first US leader to address the African Union when he travels to Ethiopia this Sunday.
