The man who stabbed Johnnie at Guvnor on Sunday morning has been arrested alongside with his girl friend Nina who happens to be Johnnie's ex. Johnie Ahimbisibwe and Nina were leaving together as a couple in Sweden, they also have a child but they developed misunderstandings that led to Johnnie's deportation from Sweden. Nina stayed with Johnnie's child, they've been having issues over child custody rights. On returning to Kampala, Johnnie was able to get back to his feet and establish himself in the garments business. Nina came to Kampala only to find that Johnnie was doing so well, so she wanted to get back with him but unfortunately for her, Johnnie had moved onto a new relationship. Nina soon devised other means, she decided to start dating Johnnie's best friend, Ivan Diesel Kalyesubula. Nina and Ivan took their love to another level, they were wedded in church and following this move, Nina told her son to refer to Ivan as his dad and not Johnnie, something that has been troubling Johnnie all along as revealed in his birthday message to his son on May 20. On the fateful night, Ivan and Nina were at Guvnor and it so happened that Johnnie was also hanging out at the same spot, so they (Ivan and Nina) went to Johnnie for some discussion, most likely about their child, but soon things went out of hand. It's said that Johnnie retaliated with hash words that forced Nina to slap him, at the time time, Johnnie was drinking from a glass that he threw at her, Ivan picked up one of the glass fragments that he used to hit at Johnnie's neck, he bled profusely. The club's management rushed him to Case clinic but was pronounced dead moments later. Johnnie will be buried tomorrow in Ibanda while Nina and Ivan are in custody as the investigations in the case go on.
