The fourth of October will see a section of Kampala roads closed to traffic for the fourth annual Kampala City Festival 2015 also known as the Kampala Carnival. The event that is organised by Kampala Capital City Authority is celebrated every first Sunday of October under the theme 'Our City Our Celebration'. Last year, the Kampala carnival attracted over 2 million people and that number could go up this year. Dancing, food, entertainment, shopping, culture and diversity among others are enjoyed the order of the day as revellers from all walks of life take to the city to see what is being show cased. The announcement is coming on the very day Britain's biggest street party ended. The Notting Hill Carnival, the largest street festival in Europe was held on August 30 and 31, 2015 also known as the August Bank Holiday. The Kampala festival borrows a leaf from the Notting Hill Carnival as bands move in a procession with different companies show casing their services, music, dance and culture is highlight of the event.
