Eddy Kenzo's better half, Rema Namakula has been in the habit of leaving baby Aamaal behind to go for shows abroad, in July, Rema went to Boston at the time when her baby was just six months and these were her words; ''Just made the toughest decision in my life."
Rema was on the line up of artists to perform at the UNAA CAUSES, an annual festival for Ugandans that was taking place in in Manhattan, New York between 4-6 September, 2015.
Unfortunately for her, Aamaal was not so well this time around, but like she is good at experimenting when duty calls, she got onto the next available flight to go and rub shoulders with New Yorkers but on getting there, the Lean on Me singer was told that Aamaal was admitted at Case Clinic and the situation was critical, it was then that she decided to return.
In her statement, she clears the space that she was not denied entry as alleged by some sources.
"It's funny how Ugandans love to come to conclusions most times but anyway just to clear the air, I Rema Namakula was not detained, arrested or anything of a sort and neither was I denied entry because I have been to USA before.
I flew from Entebbe to Amsterdam and as I reached Detroit I got a message from my sister that my Aamaal's sickness had intensified than I had earlier left her, honestly I think I couldn't think straight no more.
Just like any parent any job couldn't be more important than family so I decided to cancel and return to my daughter immediately. I would like to apologize to UNAA CAUSES plus my New York fans. I promise to make it up to you."
Rema also thanked those that kept on checking on baby Aamaal and those that kept on checking on them at Case Hospital.
