Breast feeding legislators will now have no reason of skipping parliamentary sessions citing reasons like having no one to leave their children with, they can now go to work with their children following a breastfeeding cum daycare-centre that was opened this morning by the Speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon. Rebecca Kadaga. "I call upon members and staff to use the facility and have no excuse not to work," the speaker said shortly after commissioning the facility. The facility which cost shs80M in renovations and another 10M to equip it was an initiative by the Speaker. Commissioner Senide while addressing the MPs and staff said that mothers had been denied a right of breastfeeding while at work. This is the second such facility at a Parliament after the South African Parliament, a souce added. It has a play area, sleeping area plus baby-friendly breastfeeding chairs.
