Sully K Mbuga has this afternoon walked free from court after the assault charge against him was dropped. Mbuga was charged early this month after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, including dragging her on the car bonnet and punching her in the face. SK and Leila were last in court on Jan 08 when they submitted their Memorandum of Understanding. The court has now dropped the charges. "Court is satisfied that no one was forced or put under any due influence to suppress this case. Proceedings in this matter are here by terminated and the accused is discharged and he is at liberty unless held in other charges." The matter is now withdrawn and dismissed. "I started the year on a sad note arising from this matter but thank God it has come to an end, " Leila noted. "I'm happy that the magistrate has made a fair ruling based on truth and justice," a jovial Mbuga said. Before the case could kick off, Mbuga brought five cars, all with Mbuga customised reg plates to be washed at a washing bay right opposite the court.
