Police had to fire tear-gas canisters to disperse crowds. He was first taken to Jinja road police station and later to Kira rd police station before driving him to his home in Kasangati. He tried to cross from Jinja road to Nasser road with his huge crowd and it's then that the tear-gas was fired and eventually the arrest happened. They later drove him to his home in Kasangati. However, Besigye says he will attempt going back to town for his rally. This Thursday, Uganda will decide who their next President will be for the next five years.
