Why Eddy Kenzo can't attend SXSW festival

Eddy Kenzo was part of the line up of artists that were to entertain guests that include President Barack Obama at this year's South by South West (SXSW) festival that takes place every year in mid-March in Austin, Texas.

On Friday, Eddy Kenzo released a statement saying that doctors had advised him to scale down on his activity, he is recuperating from a typhoid attack that has seen him cancel a series of concerts.

"To my dearest fans in Austin, Texas, accept my sincere apologies as I won't be able to perform at the SXSW 2016 Festival upon doctor's orders and advice. Thank you all for your concern too. My health is much better and hope to give you a great show the next time, hopefully soon. Much love," he signed off.

This morning, Kenzo was touching down at Schipol Airport in Amsterdam the very day that the SXSW festival ends. On Friday, he shared a pic from his medical examination room captioned as; "Help me God", and we trust he will be much better like he puts it in his statement.

Whatever comes from Kenzo becomes an instant hit. His Mbilo Mbilo remix with Nigeria's Niniola is doing wonders on MTVBase while his collab with Pato Ranking, Royal, is equally doing well just weeks after being released, not forgetting Soraye.

"Eddy Kenzo is the biggest music export Uganda has at the moment..." one noted.
