If you are set to travel by air between now and Thursday, 12 May, 2016 when the President will be swearing in for the sixth time, you might have to put in extra hours to avoid missing your flight. Traffic on Entebbe road will be diverted to the Kampala Entebbe Express Highway and alternative routes which could result in hiked up fares for those using taxis as the routes are longer compared to the usual routes. In a related development, trucks carrying building materials will not operate during this period on the Entebbe Highway as authorities have intelligence information that some people plan to block the road with huge stones, sand and murram. Boda bodas, taxis or stationed vehicles along the road will not be allowed on the Entebbe highway during the next few hours. No fuel tankers are allowed in the city centre and those allowed will have to be escorted by police to their respective destinations between 9pm and 6am. "The swearing in ceremony is a major event in the country as we welcome the new government, we need to beware of terrorists and those engaged in civil obedience," the Inspector General of Police General Kale Kayihura noted.
