They share one thing in common, and that one thing is radio stations in Uganda. Alex Ndaula, 53, is a veteran radio presenter with 91.3 Capital FM, a station he has worked for since the early 90's while Peter Sematimba owns 88.5 Super FM and Joel Isabirye, is a Radio Consultant with vast experience on local radio stations, he also worked for Super FM among others.
Isabirye says that Peter Sematimba whose parliamentary seat was declared vacant after finding his academic qualifications wanting should be considered for a Ministerial post.
He was joined by Alex Ndaula who was quick to add his views that, other than Sematimba being self centered, he is effective.
"We Ugandans need effective people not verified people. Time immemorial, we have had people who are 'Verified' but do nothing! We need people who have a track record of 'DOING' something like Sematimba but not the 'sleepy heads' we see."
"But Alex, are you sure education is among the things you would need us to compromise in the 20th century? This is not about Peter, it's about upholding the constitution of our motherland and a signal to the young generation that education plays a pivotal role in state and personal development, not common sense and smartness alone." one responded.
