De Nu Eagles bosses, Geoffrey Lutaaya and wife Irene Namatovu are still in shock following an ambush from thugs who waylaid them at Kabasanda around 1:00am on Friday morning. The couple were from a late night show in Kinoni Gomba driving to Kampala in a Toyota Alphard car UAY 544Q, silver in colour. According to Sasha Brighton one of De Nu Eagles members, the thugs stopped them around Kabasanda and ordered them out of the vehicle, asked them to take off all their clothes which were dropped in the car and off they sped off. Money from the performance, cell phones, costumes and other valuables let alone the car were lost in the process. Fans have since been sending messages of support to the Lweeza and Kuzala Kujagana singers. "Thank God they are not dead, and their voices are intact, they will be able to replace all that was lost," One commented.
