Kampala was a beehive of activity yesterday as all roads led to the city centre for the fifth edition of the Kampala City Festival. It was a Black, Yellow and Red affair. This year's event kicked off with motor sport. Several artists did perform. Chameleone, Bebe Cool, Sheebah Karungi, Maro, Nutty Neithan, Roden Y, Irene Ntale, Amooti of the New Amarula family were among the performers. It was praise and worship at the Christian stage that was located at Sheraton Gardens, several gospel artistes performed, there was also a Moslem tent. Daxx Kartel, King Saha also did their thing. The festival ended with a fireworks display. Pregnant women were not allowed and those who had children were seen being caught up in crowds at some points. The event was free. KCCA's Executive Director is seen displaying some dodgy dance moves at the Movit tent..She told the guests that her hair and looks are as a result of using movit products attracting wild cheers from the crowd. The event was live on NBS and BBS TV stations. Revelers were able to use free internet that had been launched by the National Technology Authority (NITA).
