The All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) were held yesterday at Eko Convention Centre in Lagos and Uganda was fully represented. Navio, Eddy Kenzo, Desire Luzinda and Cindy among others attended the awarding ceremony.
Unlike last year when Uganda got only one award for Jose Chameleone being voted 'Best Song Writer' for his Wale Wale hit, this year, Uganda got three awards. Unique who wrote Navio's Njogereza song was voted the Best Song Writer while Eddie Kenzo and Nigeria's Niniola took the Best Collaboration song.
The Still Standing singer, Cindy Sanyu, made Uganda proud by winning the Best Female Artist in East Africa beating the likes of Juliana Kanyomozi, Irene Ntale and Kenya's Avril to further confirm she was still standing.
"Thank you Uganda, Thank you Africa," the mom of one noted on her wall.
Other Ugandan artists who were nominated in the AFRIMA awards but lost include;

Best Female Artist in East Africa
