Police confirms the arrest of Stella NyanziKampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, Emilian Kayima, has confirmed the arrest of Makerere University research fellow, Dr. Stella Nyanzi. Stella was yesterday picked up by plain clothes operatives from Mackinon Suites where she was a Guest Speaker at a Rotary event that required all the participants to at least come with a pad as a condition to access the venue. "I am a die-hard Facebooker who loudly speaks my mind based on my banal experiences of life," Is a statement off her facebook page describing who she is and that is what you get on her wall. Nyanzi who is currently at Kira Police will be produced in court on Monday, April 10, 2017 on the account of Cyber Harrassment and Offensive Communication. Stella's troubles start when she called the First Lady Janet Museveni names, but she forgave her, however, this was not enough to stop the die-hard facebooker, in fact, she just unleashed more venom after this while assuring the Minister of Education that there was no need of forgiving her as she had not sought for her forgiveness. Shortly after her arrest the above post was made on her wall confirming that indeed, she had been arrested and since then, no additional posts have been made. One thing is for sure, Stella knew she was going to be arrested anyway because according to the police spokesperson, she had been warned several times against the posts she has been making lately on social media but kept a deaf ear.
