Desh Kananura found not guilty of murder
Desh Kananura was acquitted Friday on charges that he murdered his employee in 2012.
Desh has been battling with a murder case of his employee, Badru Kateregga, who was allegedly tortured to death on September 30, 2012.
Kateregga was found with shs30,000/- an amount way above what employees at the bar were allowed to have at any given time.
High Court Judge Joseph Murangira ruled that there was no sufficient evidence pinning Kananura and the co-accused of the crime.
Prosecution failed to adduce evidence showing how Raymond Kananura, Cyrus Maganda, and Samuel Muzolewo participated in the murder of the deceased.
The rally driver who was seen shedding a tear after he was acquitted attributed the whole process to God.
"As a prosecution agency, we are of the view that the evidence was not well executed, we are going to appeal," An official from the court noted.
