Rwanda Presidential hopeful, Diane Rwigara's pics leak
Rwanda politics it is. Two days after declaring that she will be contesting in the August elections as an independent candidate, her pics are all over the net. Two pictures of Ms Diane Shima Rwigara are doing rounds on social media. In one of the pics, her right leg is raised on a brown sofa.
In the second pic, the 35-year-old stands with arms akimbo revealing her c-section scar. No one has come out to claim responsibility for leaking the pics, though a section of people out there are of the view that this might not affect her that much citing Melania Trump's topless pics that were all over the net.
"There is so much poverty, youth unemployment and injustice in many sectors of Rwandan society that are so obvious to Rwandans that we are supposed to keep secret. I got tired of portraying an image that is not real. I got tired of waiting and complaining about the state of my country and I decided instead of waiting, I will do something myself and I will stand up myself." Diane told one publication when asked why she was taking to activism.
In the past, jilted lovers and those seeking cheap popularity have made those pics available in all angles, but in this case, it's not clear if politics has a hand in this, but like they say, it's a dirty game.
Diane is a daughter of late Rwandan tycoon, Assinapol Rwigira, who died in a car accident in 2015.
Rwigara joins Philippe Mpayimana running on an independent ticket, Democratic Green party head, Frank Habineza, and the incumbent, Paul Kagame making a total of four candidates so far.
