The best online encyclopedia, Wikipedia is caught up in a series of editorial rows after Jimmy Wales the founder proposed some changes. Adding information to Wikipedia is currently done by anyone and changes appear there and then but once the proposed changes are approved, then edits will be subject to approval.

The sudden wave of change has been sparked off by edits on the pages of Senators Kennedy and Robert Byrd that gave a false impression that the two were dead.

The move is strongly opposed as approving new submissions or changes would take days or weeks before they become available. Directories like DMOZ have been operating in a similar way where by submissions of websites required editors to approve leading to backlogs.

Popular sections on Uganda as a country under Wikipedia include ''Uganda'' which has a summary of Uganda's history, Economy, Government and Demographics.

Wikipedia enjoys more than 90% of the encyclopedia market but this will be forced to reduce as Google is joining the encyclopedia field with its Knol and Britannica another online Encyclopedia doing it the Wikipedia way. Read More
