Lydia Atim Draru has been charged with murder in a Makindye grade one court. She came to the limelight after she allegedly hit the former Army Commander Maj. General James Kazini on the head with an iron bar last Tuesday.

Lydia seemed not worried as she boarded the maroon bus to Luzira prison as journalists took pictures of her. Lydia's being charged has come in at this time as investigations were underway in trying to get to how a young lady could kill a general.

The Military joined forces with police in investigating the matter. They could not just look on as a General had been taken on just like that. Maj. Gen. Kazini was buried last Friday with full military honour. He is survived by 8 children and three wives.

Meanwhile Draru means death in west nile. A friend of Lydia who only learnt of the name Draru after Maj. Gen. Kazini was murdered said she could have advised her to change it to something else had she known earlier that she was called Draru.
