Six suspects have been arrested by Masaka Police in connection to theft of Saloon cars as confirmed by the Southern region criminal investigations officer, Willy Panuha. Some of the suspects who were arrested over the weekend had ten motor-cycles and a saloon car heading for Tanzania through Mutukula border. Log books and other number plates were found in their possession at the time of arrest. It is believed that these number plates are used in disguising the identity of the stolen vehicles. Mr. Willy Panuha adds that several vehicles are smuggled from Uganda to Tanzania through the night and for that, a parallel spy network has been put in place to trace cars stolen from Uganda.
