Tanzanian singer, Diamond Platnumz, was on Sunday performing in Nairobi at the Koroga Festival along side Kidum from Burundi and Kenyan boy band group, Le Band. The sold out show had over 7000 guests coming through. Platnumz did not disappoint his female fans, he left them exremely excited. It was the very day when his wife's ex-hubby Ivan Semwanga's body returned to Uganda from South Africa where he died following a short illness. Platnumz dedicated a song to Zari during the Koroga show. While appearing on 98.4 Capital FM on Saturday, Platnumz told listeners that since the show had long been confirmed, there was no way he could not perform. He went on to say that after the Sunday show, he will be in Kampala at least for the requiem mass on Monday. He was a no show. Fans are divided about his opting to perform and the way he performed when his wife and mother to his two children was attending the funeral of her ex-husband. He responded with a two-faced message. "Too many fake people in this world and it's hard to tell..." This post received both positive and negative responses. Fans loyal to him concurred with his argument while others were like; "You are a homewrecker, Hope you are not trying to remove the stick in one's eye and forgetting the log in yours..." Looking at what transpired on social media and the hours before the requiem mass, it's understandable for Platnumz not to come. Zari was forced to up her security by moving with over five heavily built men to ensure all was well. Ivan Semwanga's body was taken to his ancestral home in Kayunga yesterday. Zari and the children have just arrived in Kayunga. The fallen socialite will be laid to rest later in the afternoon. Read Also:The rides at Semwanga's requiem mass |
