Capital FM veteran DJ, renowned city booze war hero and 'wolokoso' king Alex Ndawula is at it again. We have heard that while jazzing Navio who had just returned from the US where he had gone to record a ONE8 project song, Alex inquired if American superstar R Kelly had sent him greetings. Now this is the most interesting bit. Navio told him that R Kelly kept asking about Alex the whole time in the US and upon hearing that the loud talking veteran presenter spent close to two hours on his evening drive show bashing his fellow presenters, telling them how big he is in the industry and how is status is international. Now, that is the reason we named him among the wolokoso kings of Kampala. The man talks alot! Tuesday, October 12 2010
Booze War hero and Capital FM veteran DJ, Alex Ndaula is not a happy man after we listed him in the Wolokoso kings of Kampala. This was in one of last Friday's Tukyakale pages. That day we wrote, "If you listen to Capital FM, then he is no stranger to you. The creme of his Wolokoso comes during his Saturday night Dance Force show in which he bashes his rival DJ's and claims to be the best in Uganda. But the truth is that the aging DJis out of touch with modernity and cannot even mix music using modern state of the art pioneer mixer. It is alleged by insiders at Capital FM that a silent club DJ actually does the real mixing during Dance Force show as Alex announces the next song and bashes other rival DJ's on the microphone." Now we have leant he used his time on radio that day to rant. The usually foul mouthed faded DJ spent the whole of his time on over drive show boasting how he is still the best DJ in the land. Hahahaha... Alex that is the wolokoso we are talking about. Thursday, June 24 2010
They say even the best dancers at one point leave the dance floor. Now word coming in from Kisementi based Capital FM is that celebrated spin master and booze war hero, the legendary DJ Alex is set to hung his boots....er sorry rather discs and quit the job he has done for a whooping 20 plus years. Friends tell us the veteran DJ has been telling friends that he has contributed enough to Uganda's Music Industry and it's time he quit the job he has loved all his life. We hear he is pleading with management to let him stay on as a programmes director. That leaves Radio One's Elvis the only veteran left in the DJ business.
