MTN Uganda, the proud sponsors of the 2010 FIFA World cup have released its much anticipated global football anthem, titled Everywhere you Go. The song is sung by Kelly Rowland, the former Destiny's child singer and Grammy Award winner together with Ugandan Artiste Jose Chameleone.
The song also features South African artistes Jozi, Skwatta Kamp, Zulu boy and Nigeria's 2Face. Others are Cameroon's Krotal, Senegal's Awadi, Ghana's Samini, and Rola from Lebanon. The song, part of MTN Group's upcoming Africa United campaign along with the World Cup Campaign has engaged audiences in other parts of the continent.
In Uganda the song can exclusively be downloaded using MTN Caller Tunez a service that allows customers to select a tune that people calling them will hear as opposed to the usual 'ring' tone.
The tracks lyrics were written by Stacy Barthe and produced by Steve Morales, who has worked with the who is who in the music industry. The African campaign is seeking to unite the continent with the possibility of an African World Cup win, and the victory of staging such an event on home soil.
The song started playing on all Uganda's Radio Stations this week.
